Vocational Education and Training

Adelaide boasts excellent vocational education and training (VET) through TAFE SA and numerous private institutions including two of Australia’s most prestigious hotel management (culinary) schools: the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) and Le Cordon Bleu (LCB). Aside from preparing students for the workforce, VET is an important pathway for entry into university.

Adelaide’s VET providers offer more than 115 different course options, in fields as diverse as art and design, marketing, hotel management, automotive technology and nursing.
Adelaide’s VET institutions provide students with internationally recognised qualifications and the practical skills to succeed in a global marketplace.
Courses range from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma Level and are delivered by registered training organisations. Students are able to train in situations that replicate real working environments, whether that is a health setting, a state-of-the-art kitchen or a high-tech industry facility.
